Mary Byman, 84, went missing while berry picking with a friend last Wednesday in the woods in southern Manitoba. Volunteers scoured the region and Mary was finally found. According to the news reports, she was cold, wet and barefoot. Yet she will still smiling, even while huddled under a tree.
Crystal Leigh, one of the rescuers who located Byman (who had gotten lost while picking blueberries) said Mary had two requests: “A cold beer and a hot tub”. In our books, that sounds like the perfect post-rescue indulgence!
